I've wanted to put together a sort of type set of small note $10 bills of the various types. A quick look through guide book identified the following types - The Fr.1700 note is a bit beyond my budget, as I tend to focus on coins over bills, so I'll almost certainly skip it. And the green seal Federal Reserve Notes aren't as fascinating to me (though the four series are distinct and noticeably different) as the eight key types I'm trying to collect. Here are the four I've collected thus far. Fr.2400 graded, the rest are raw. I'm hoping to add Fr.2303 and Fr.2309 later this year.
Nice. I like the small $10 also, I also am working on a type set of these. The FRNs are interesting, with the early numbered seal, then next the light/lime green seal, and the next ones are not expensive. I don't have the Hawaii or the FRBN, but I do have at least one of the national types. Another collection I want to start is affordable (meaning common and well circulated) examples of small $10 nationals from whatever bank, that sounds like a fun collection. And if the Fr1700 isn't out of reach enough for you, I think that every known small-size double-denomination error has a $10 on one of the sides, your complete set also needs a complete set of small size double-denomination errors
