I am one of those history buffs, this coin and year represents one of the most historic gunfights of the 19th century, ( The Gun Fight at the O.K Corral ) October 26, 1881
in Tombstone, Arizona, i saw the movie starring Kirk Russell and Val kilmer when it first came out in 1993 and i was instantly hooked at that time i had a 7 , 4 and 2 year year old so traveling wasent much of an option but as i moved in to upper mangemant i was able to travel more and more then in 2001 i went to tombstone, awesome place !! my daughter was born that same year :) then went back 23 years later !! 2024 and noyhing has changed, an interesting fact when we went to the boot hill cemetery we talked to
the gal that ran the place and a couple years ago she considered digging up the graves of the Mclaury brothers and Billy Clanton, even brought in a mortician, who explained
because of the limestone composition of the soil, there most likely would be nothing left
of the remains, not sure why she would want to dig them up in the first place...LOL

So being from 1881 this San Francisco minted coin had atleast a shot of making in to Tombstone around that time as many settlers traveled from there so who knows but you cant tell me it didnt happen, i like to think it made it there and was in Wyatt Earps pocket at the time of the gun fight :)

Looks like it spent a few days jingling in someone's pocket--a lot of contact marks.

Val Kilmer really kicked butt in that movie.

    Looks low-60's....so I'll go with MS-63.

Had some close guesses there but 55 was the general consensus, looks like a toss up on which grade to choose.
