Well trying to keep politics out of it, this feels less like a coin (even if it meets the technical definition) than just a publicity stunt, like the omega pennies or when some country makes a giant coin that will never be used just to say they did. I still stand by an earlier statement I made that if this a coin an ordinary person of reasonable means could acquire, I'd want one, even if I don't think it should have been made in the first place. Because what the heck, it would always be a conversation piece. But if it's just a big hunk of gold it's easy to ignore.
