    I'm intrigued, but I wouldn't have paid over spot for it.

    And rather than "pocket piece", I'd call it "improperly stored and harshly cleaned". No chance of a clean lowball grade for this one.

    I'm also not sure how a palladium coin tones...

    GF has a palladium class ring from 45 years ago. I will report the toning when I have a chance to look at it.
    It still looks pretty good. Some luster. An overall grayish tone on the parts that are not more silverish looking but not bad. I believe it is 80% palladium alloyed with silver.
