When I picked up these 2 coins, I thought they must be scarce because they show female figures on the obverse. The first is Seleucid and serrate. The second reads Basileus Alexandroy on reverse. Still I need to define the two busts. I always appreciate your views. F basile O 6.JPG F basiley R.JPG F Alex O.JPG F Alexa R.JPG

I think your second coin is a bust of Alexander II Zabinas.

    First one is probably Artemis.

Thanks Ax. The second coin is much worn. Could the reverse tell anything?

The date on the second one is 185 which would be 127BC when Alexander II ruled. The reverse is Dionysos standing left holding kantharos & thyrsos.

I love Seleucids. The first batch of Uncleaned coins I ever bought were Seleucids and they cleaned up to look much like yours.
