Welcome to my 83,000s post celebration. I want to say that when I first joined CT I never thought about getting this many posts or the number of likes that I have. So thank you to all who made that possible.
You see when I first joined CT, I felt I was treated rather nasty because of the post and comments that other members made. But I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. Yes I made some mistakes but haven’t we all. None of us are perfect.
It’s not a matter of how many likes can we get or how many posts can we do. It’s all about learning and what we can teach others. Yes some posts are fun and we can certainly have a good time doing this, but that’s not what CT is about. It’s about coins. And I hope and pray that most of the CT members that read this feel the same way I do.
I’ve learned a lot and it’s been my privilege to help others in the process.
so here’s a 1946D walking liberty half dollar graded by PCGS in MS 65 In honor of my making so many post.

I'm glad you stuck with us. I've been on longer (2013) and I know that some of those members are no longer on CoinTalk. I had the same issue at times. Every member on here recently are pretty decent.

Congrats. That’s a lot of posts and I agree with you about CT.

When I joined in Oct. 2017 I had no idea how much I didn’t know. I had lots of experience accumulating coins, but CT helped me establish patterns of study and research. I quickly ascribed to the notion that providing accurate information was paramount.

Along with receiving accurate instruction and guidance I found Coin Talk to be the best teacher I knew, and reciprocated by offering accurate info in all my posts. And when I was proven wrong and had many bubbles burst I ended up being a much better collector.

    BTW, …beautiful ‘46-D, and congrats again…Spark

Congrats on the gigantic post count, Dave! I just want to know one thing, though………how many unopened packages do you have now?

Thanks, Paddy. I appreciate the response and yes, some of those members are no longer on CT. At the current time we have quite a few good members I would say. Most of our members that are on all the time are very helpful and polite to new people. I’m really glad I stuck with CT.

As far as I know less than 10. It’s the unknown that I worry about. LOL My antique shop has been so busy along with my Yard needing work because it’s spring, I just can’t find the time to sit and open packages and look at coins. I’ll get to them and post them so don’t worry.

Great looking high grade coin, here's one of mine, no two of mine. :D These Walkers were the flex when I was a young boy growing up poor at a time when the hourly wage was $1.25 an hour, anyone remember them days? Anyways, here's silver and gold, I had to have the gold even though I paid a steep premium, I have no regrets as they're selling for a lot more than I paid, double easily. thumbupp.gif

And yes, I remember the days of $1.25 an hour, $.33 cent a gallon gas, bread for less than a quarter and lots more. :)

Congratulations on achieving such amazing numbers. You've earned them. You've very knowledgeable, but more importantly you try to be kind to everyone. As you stated, in the past there were some, not so nice comments. I learned very quickly to read and learn and to be silent. I made a post to a new member, encouraging them in a situation they were in that was receiving "mixed" (that's the nice way to put it) responses. In it, I commented that I was a "silent member", having learned that worked best for me, but couldn't remain silent in their situation, as I felt the need to encourage them. You responded to my comments and said, "you need to post more". So, I've tried to do that. Sometimes I win (so to speak), sometimes I lose, but, I've tried to be positive and "learn". I'm still learning, thanks to members like you. I'm not sure all would agree with your statement, but at least they haven't blocked me, yet, lol. I'm having a blast. I've got a half dollar, that isn't as fine as yours, but I'm very pleased to have it. I pulled it out of the melt bucket. I just couldn't see it being melted. Thank you again, my friend. Hope I didn't just get you in trouble, lol.

So true! Although I am no where near the collector that you and others are here on CT, but have learned a lot and learned a lot to help others that are not here on CT. Others that would have been taken advantage in some aspects of the selling or buying world. I appreciate everyone who has helped, ,@Collecting Nut :) @Mountain Man, @masterswimmer and among many others. A lot of you. @paddyman98 with coins and their beautiful flowers too.
Congrats @Collecting Nut! Beautiful coin! All of yours are!

Thanks Ken, excellent write up and very kind to me. There are a lot of silent members on CT. They read but posting is rare. As I’m sure you are finding out now that you’re posting a little more, that’s how we get to know you and you get to know us. It was hard but I stuck with it. I’ve noticed that you are posting a bit more, so please, keep it up. I enjoy your posts. I have learned a lot since I’ve been on CT and I’ve been able to share my knowledge with others. If I’m wrong, I’ll admit it and I’ve learned something. Today, a number of those rude commenters are no longer on CT. In my humble opinion, things are better but there are a few members that broke the rules because they were sucked in by some of the rude members and are no longer active on CT. Don’t let that happen. Just ignore what they are saying but don’t place them on ignore. You’re still learning from them but it’s not what they want you to learn. And your coin is a very nice looking one. You did great saving that one from the melting pot. :)

:) Just be you. Cajun people are nice. :)Aren’t we? lol! I’ve been in trouble before lol. Oops but yes! Feelings hurt etc. I pouted. But Nice people here. Some things come out wrong. Serious collectors of course but I always say you can be friendly. Ones that come in automatically and asks “how much is this worth?” :wideyed: My first thought, oh my gosh watch out! lol!
