Managed to get a couple of penny boxes from my credit union. Just opened up the first box and in the 3rd roll was this first year with the legendary initials! Only my second 1909 in 6 years of roll searching!
What a find! I would not expect that myself in, well, maybe an eternity. Maybe someone purposely rolled that one, knowing how much another lucky collector would enjoy it.
