Encased Cent

    Not sure why this is like it is as I’ve never seen anything like it before. This 1948 cent is encased in nothing but copper. It’s a little larger on one side. Notice the reverse right hand side.

    Something like that you'd expect something would be engraved or counterstamped on the encasement. Maybe they never got around to doing it.
