My goodness! So far, 54 bids to $1225 1895 Morgan Silver Dollar. Appears to be in good condition but I don’t know coins. I could not find a mint mark anywhere on it. I found this coin in the pocket of a jacket I bought at an estate sale, so I don’t know much about it. Thanks for Looking! https://www.ebay.com/itm/389946008694?_skw=morgan+silver+dollar&itmmeta=01KQTDHEQKTG7VGF52ZGJNGCG2&hash=item5aca97e476:g:2NcAAeSwcCJp7~p2&itmprp=enc:AQALAAAA0GfYFPkwiKCW4ZNSs2u11xCnLIjZTVftCxNtrYN+zgFn1TgQFKGWevNJBoMkq+m3CpBBRVSX8x6bUCHAaMlTtzH+hY+6igDTLtlwyI43plbMQzNBwD3HnmVyipyguF0r2Ptysc5FPFwAPEq8bStdGtyR6ArYcWxgj4BDi6KWMHvGt/QlsIJ4nIWvgYZD1mSZ5fuDjaKT1P/Z0nAd34taaGeKS+9aQwGkFM++IRKFMutWH23wPK76SYGqtRMYChgPw4r7XD1yYaEKYjhqXA0rqAo=|tkp:Bk9SR4Dsxc2-Zw&LH_Auction=1
I'm wondering if something is going on with the auction, or maybe bids got cancelled. But the high big just changed multiple times while I was looking at it. For a few minutes it showed a high bid of 1 dollar even though there are 32 bids. Right now it's showing that it's back over $200
That’s 100% bogus. That’s a certified Shanghai mint Morgan and has never remotely been a proof Philly.
There is a few things that I suspect are not right. The date is not right, never heard of a closed 5. The m in unum is almost filled. The denticles from 6 to 7 are a give away that this is a cast most likely. The reverse was done a bit better but over all the fields are pretty rough. I always wonder that a coin this rare, why hasn't it been certified. Mike.
After @Sting 60 remark I decided to do some research, I found that he is not only correct but also there was O and S only, no plain 1895 Morgan. My mistake, sorry people.
You are correct Sir, so this would have to have been a proof, which none were ever circulated. That is why a mentioned the rarity. Mike.
