Hi Coin Talk. I'm a regular member of the web site's sister, antiquers. I don't collect coins much (though I'm always opportunistic!), but I have a close friend who is cleaning out her parents home and has entrusted these (and lots more) coins to me to help help her identify. These ones may* be the most valuable ones.

Thanks for any opinions about authenticity, condition and comparables for the sake of searching value.

    Thank you for your expertise.

Most of those are culls. the 85 Morgan might have a little collectibility.

Multiply the spot price of silver by .77344 and that’s the melt value of silver in each of those coins. You won’t get that much but it should be close.

    Welcome to CT.

Unfortunately nowadays, those are all going to be valued very close to their metal value.

Do you have a Red Book so you can identify the better date coins?

Everything looks genuine. These are not really "culls." They are not really numismatic (coins that collectors want), but there has been an active market for silver dollars for many years. I would presume it still exists at the currently elevated spot prices for silver.

"Culls" are badly worn, might have big rim problems or scratches or are badly stained. One of the pieces shown above might fall into that category.
