Well, as a future retirement gift, I want to find 1916 and 1918/7s Standing Liberty Quarters to complete this set. I have the following criteria:
    Certified by PCGS or NGC
    graded between vf25 and xf40
I need to see the date
Looks good, no alteration or heavy cleaning

I know I need patience to find the right one at a fair price. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I think your criteria are solid. I don't have experience with these particular coins but in general don't jump at the first coin you see unless it hits all the particulars. And if you can afford, it could make sense to stretch for the right coin instead of picking up a less expensive but unattractive example.

Your criteria is solid so best wishes in finding this coins. I’ve been looking for over 7 years for one coin and my criteria is the same today as it was when I started this set. It’s the only coin I need to complete the set.

A tall order but doable for sure. Patience is a virtue here as I'm sure you know. You'll succeed, I'm sure of it.

Many thanks for the feedback. This will be an insanely expensive and long journey. I saw a few 1918/7s coins at the CSNS show last week. They looked ok, but not good enough where I can pull the lever. The CSNS show was awesome, but perhaps when I retire I can find these at a FUN or ANA show. It’s definitely going to be about the journey.
