King stephen and Queen Mary I

    Two of my latest finds not been getting out as much due to work commitments so was nice finding couple of hammered coins . A queen mary I groat and a king stephen cut half penny cross moline type 1 watford. My first norman coin .

    Whoa, nice. I had a Stephen Watford type penny once (which I bought, of course). Never had Mary.

    Very nice. Not really ancients but very cool nonetheless. English coinage is really nice.

    I recently dipped my toes back into medieval and Tudor with two acquisitions. May as well share.
