    Amazing, yes?

=> $70 hammer scored me this gorgeous example!! (maybe it's just me? => seems like money well spent!?) ... okay sure, my sweet wife may beg to differ?

    ... anyway ...

A fricken gorgeous feminine portrait of Apollo + a super-cool Athena, with weapons!!

=> it was a no brainer!! ... I wanted this coin!!

Yup, and then when I ended-up scoring it $30 under initial estimate => cha-fricken-ching!!

Super-cool Gol! I'm finding there's a lot of good deals to be found in the auctions at the moment, and well below vcoins prices.

Just looked at similar coins on vcoins - a much crappier example is selling for $140!

Decent price for the condition. The styling is where is at though. I would have expected this coin to go a little higher because it has better styling than a lot other of the same type.

I only use Vcoins for coins that don't come too often at auction. If I want a coin type, I first give it a few months trying to find the type at an auction. If I can't, then I'll check out online dealers and finally vcoins.com.

Thanks Smeag => hey, I'd love it if you posted the vcoins example (NOTE: that's not the same as posting live auction coins, which is "definitely" frowned upon)

    *awkward*

=> please try your best to post something that'll make me smile!! (coin-realted or "not")

I love you coin-guys ... hey, have I ever mentioned that this place fricken rocks?!

Thanks Smeag (I appreciate your coin-effort)

... my lil' sweety cost 1/2 the price (I'll do that deal all day long!)

FYI => but that vcoins example is still a total winner!!

    I fee
I feel you. With all the super expensive coins I bought from January through now, my coin budget for the rest of the year won't accommodate more than a few LRB and a few common silvers.

Luckily I can live vicariously through people like @stevex6 and @panzerman and the rare beauties they buy and share with the rest of us coin bro's.

Steve, I hope my 'gross humor' wasn't offensive...The specimen actually is a dull brown and only looks that nasty if you wet it before photographing it as the seller did.:sorry:

Again, Congrats on a terrific coin!!!

Nice coin Steve, I gotta start paying more attention to CNG.
