I went to a small coin show the other day. It had only about a dozen dealers, but for it's size it was pretty well attended and had a good selection. There was plenty of lower end U.S. coins as always, but what surprised me is there was a high end U.S. coin dealer, several world coin dealers, a U.S. & World paper money dealer, a token dealer and two dealers even had some ancients. There was also a small number of young collectors and dealers. Here's some of the things I picked up:
I’d say you did great at that show. Nice that it was small and had coins of all representations there. Sounds like he had a great time and congratulations on your pick ups.
I really like the Cap & Rays 8R. Nice color. Nice color crescent on the Morgan, too. Those aren't my cuppa tea, but some folks really love that. The Panama Canal token is cool, too. Hope you didn't pay more than a few cents for the OPA fiber token. Those are kind of interesting (in particular, those mysterious letter codes- like the "H-C" on your piece). But they're really, really common (unless the H-C is a rare code? I don't know much of anything about that). I once bought an exonumia bag lot that had dozens upon dozens of the things- in both red and blue. At the time I didn't know what they were, until I did a little web-crawling. I guess your OPA token is an off-center error, though...
