Please guess the grade on this Franklin.
No cheating either but checking your answer after guessing is fine. :D

I'm usually harder on grades but from the pictures I don't see anything I don't like other than the little toning on the Obverse.
    MS-66 FBL

I don't see FBL either. MS64 There are a couple of dings on the cheek. Nice coin. It may CAC with that toning. How do you check to see if you're correct?

I have no clue about the grade, but I love that toning.

MS65 much I say easily a gem as it is better than the few, I have slabbed. It could have that bump for toning. Pretty Franky ddddd.

66, easy. It would be a 65 without the toning. My only real concern is the bump on Franklin's cheek, but the rest of the coin is smooth.

Definitely NOT FBL, nowhere even close, judging from what I see in this single stationary image.

Didn't on of the TPG's start grading only the top bell lines, I seem to remember something. The topic definitely came up in the past.

MS65, not FBL. I'm not a fan of toning of any sort. If it didn't come from the mint that way, it's just a form of environmental damage, whether "natural" or "artificially toned."

Not exactly... PCGS uses only the *bottom* set of bell lines to judge FBL. Those are usually more distinct.

NGC uses *both* sets of bell lines to judge FBL. This is a much harder designation to get on certain dates.

54S is a really hard date to get in true FBL (both sets of lines). Not as hard as the legendary 53S, but still quite difficult.

Without knowing that, that is the exact criteria used by myself for making my assessment.
