I have sent some coins to Anacs, NGC, and PCGS. Now I will add ICG to the mix. It has been a few years since I have submitted anything. I figured with the Cointalk special and having a handful of Morgans that received inconclusive results from local dealers (in regards to authenticity), it is worth seeing what ICG will say. I added in some other raw coins that I am curious about the grade (all are inexpensive coins, so the pricing at ICG helps it make sense to send in). I will provide updates as the process continues.
Here is the thread regarding the Morgans I mentioned receiving inconclusive results: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ic...ll-on-a-grading-dilemma-with-a-morgan.421190/
I used ICG a while back. Skip did some conservation work for me. The results were way more than I thought was possible. After conservation the coins went to auction and did really well.

Thank you for adding the link! @Tater it is $10 per coin (down from the normal $15) plus the usual shipping fees (depends on the number of coins).
That will depend on if the Morgans come back genuine or not... I believe at least one coin should straight grade and hopefully multiple do. Plus I need an ICG slabbed coin for my collection (I have had some over the years but do not own any currently).
Thank you! The ICG slab I probably had the longest was a toned 1780 Maria Theresa restrike. It was coin "a" in the thread below. Eventually I settled on the PCGS slabbed coin as my keeper and sold the others. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/which-one-do-you-prefer-austria-1780-thaler-restrikes.365903/
The package shows as delivered at ICG as of yesterday so at least that step is done. Now the wait for grading.
And today I received an email from ICG confirming they have the order and that it is expected by 4/15. Now the wait continues.
Exactly on the 4/15 expected date the email arrived with grades and that the order has been shipped! Now that is impressive given my experiences with PCGS and NGC (and that is part of the reason, along with costs, that I have not sent anything to either of those lately). The other good news is that the Morgans that received inconclusive results from local dealers (in regards to authenticity) all appear to have graded (details as expected but real). And the other coins all did well too (relative to my expectations). We might have some guess the grade threads in the future.
