seen quite a few dealers taking pre-payment for the next years eagles.I gather the first batches are sent out jan 16th , I wondering if its wise to book and pay for now or wait.Im a little worried that if the price of silver jumps these dealers that take a lot of orders are going to struggle to fill there obligations. However waIting could cause me to miss out on first strike eagles and the price may jump due to demand. good idea to pre-book or best to wait ?????
It all depends on what you want. If you are looking for early strikes, place the order now. If you are buying as a hedge on Silver, wait.
well im kinda looking for both.ive been buying tubes of near every year havent got 86 yet though or 91-93 im thinking of sending all the tubes to be slabbed to make 20 coin full collections., once of course when i get the few missing dates.Actually i think i will wait i dont realy trust sending money off for something a dealer aint even bought yet. another question which grading company of the top 4 is more likely to slab ms70 ones.I noticed quite a few of these ms70 sets for sale igc i think are they most likely to give a ms70 rating to the coins. cause i find even a perfect coin wont often get this.
C'mon now Nd - buy at the first of the year to get early strikes ?? That's a myth - nothing else. Early strikes are produced every time they change the dies. And they keep on striking well into Sept. So your odds of getting early strikes are just the same then as they are in Jan.
The only difference between the ones struck in Jan and the rest of the new dies used is the fact that we know when they are struck. While it is possible to receive early strikes any day of the week, it is also a 50-50 chance after the initial start date. That was my point.
I was just checking my credit card bill. There's an offer in there for 2005 Silver Eagles. Pre-order up to 5 now at $8.95 each. Free shipping.
