Anything is possible, but I think this is just post mint damage... I believe it has the look of a coin that was left in a clothes dryer although I could be wrong. Welcome to the club. J
wel i looked up images and i found the same coin with basically the same errors that im thinking i will try and find it
the D is messed up severely, and the notch missing out of the rim above the S in states, and the e in quarter
Yes I understand that but I have two of the same exact marks for that to happen is like physically impossible and for somebody on the internet to have the same coin with the same marks just odd i guess
From the start of the thread I said I was just learning sorry I haven't dedicated my life to this yet people
You don't have to dedicate your life to it, but try and take constructive criticism on something. Honestly any coin could get whacked by anything on any spot, and getting whacked could leave a divot on the edge or smoosh a mintmark. Did you notice that the coin seems somewhat compressed, with the legend pushing into the edge? That is what someone meant by a clothes dryer coin. All of these things represent what is called PMD or post minting damage. Keep looking, there are lots of error coins out there and some are worth good bucks.
There is a photo editing program many on CT use. Called PhotoScape, free download and pretty easy to use.
