A nice surprise cleaning out a relative's house a few years ago. All the 63's are crisp as the day printed but contain 3 fold lines. Any idea of value? The 1928 is heavily circulated. IMG_0066.JPG IMG_0065.JPG

With the consecutive serial numbers, you may be surprised what they'd bring. I'd buy 'em!

    Cool find @SchwaVB57.

The 63's aren't bringing too much even in uncirculated condition, and I've heard of some still showing up at some of the larger banks. Usually when so many notes are still readily available at low prices for uncirculated examples, it's hard to get any premium on XF notes.....even small consecutive runs.

Thanks. They will stay in the family no matter the value.

Reminds me of a funny story about my Grandpa... I get a call from my brother, he is at my grandparents, apparently my Grandmother has had a stroke and is not responsive. I fly out that night, and she does not recover, next day she passes.

She's the first relative close to me in my life I can recall losing, and our family is very small, so this is a pretty big deal for everyone. As we are there dealing with the emotional trauma and aftermath of things, we need to look in my Grandmother's purse for something, and so my Grandpa reaches in and pulls out 5 or 6 old red seal $2 bills. He turns to us and deadpans...

"The old lady's been holding out on me..."

Oh Lord did we laugh about that for hours... that was my Grandpa. Just lost his wife of 50 some years, and uncorks that one. We each got a $2, carry it with me to this day. Sigh... bittersweet times.

When my father in law died a few years back he had a envelope stuffed full of $2
Notes under a dresser drawer, i think he thought they were actually worth something and they worth saving, but there allot of people out there that think the same thing.

2 dollar bills 1963 red seal in worse condition are selling for $7 plus 2-3 shipping on EBay.
In this condition $5 is fair.
