Once again I won a coin from Nummitra in Germany. And
again I received the coin taped to the in side of the shipping
box. This after after I sent 2.5x2.5 safety flips and complained
about the service the last time. I know they received them
through the tracking number. Are plastic and paper flips across
    the pond really that expensive?

expat Remember you are unique, just like everyone else

Sign of the times trying to save on outgoings wherever they can. But it is not great for their customer service image when you consider you can purchase a box of 50 flips for less than 10 Euros

Was the coin in some kind of holder or was it taped raw to the box?

Taped raw to the inside of the shipping box. No
    holder of any kind.

Let it sit in acetone to remove any tape residue. Rinse with distilled water,
air or lightly pat dry. Don't do business with them anymore.

They've sold several Justinian I Follis' over the last year.
Many of them meet my requirement of being at least
40mm or larger in size. Some times rare mints and dates.
I'll just suffer through the incompetence to get the ones I
    need.

I'd have to say goodbye to that show.

Or as Major Horton would say: "Oh that dog just ain't gonna hunt...!" Band of Brothers

Why do you keep ordering from these cheapskates? You can buy high quality flips in the U.S. for a lot less than 10 Euros (dollars) per 50. You can buy cheap ones, which, so long as they have not gone bad, would service the purpose for the time that they are in the holder. My comment is "totally unprofessional" and "Shows a total lack of respect for their customers."

They continually provide coins that I collect. Justinian I 40mm or larger.

No, they’re readily available and cheap in Germany.
I think it’s just this seller who doesn’t know any better or doesn’t care.

I'm sorry @tibor, if they don't change their unacceptable packaging practices and you continually buy from them, you've given up all rights to complain. If their procedures bother you enough to send them flips and also post your dissatisfaction here on CT, discontinuing your patronage is the way to lodge your complaint.

    JMO of course.

I read just recently that they cancelled their next few auctions.
I did send about 30 safety flips and a few paper ones. Oh well.
They have ceased for now to hold auctions. They have in the past
sold several coins, Justinian I 40+mm, that I've added to my collection.
As for complaining, I will continue to do so not only on this topic,
but thousands upon thousands of others. I'm 70 years old and one
of the many pleasures in life I have are B#%$&ing and complaining!!
