LordM Giveaway #145 (pick your prize) Contest status: OPEN Drawing: pending; on or after 1 May 2026 Winner: pending Shipping status: pending Winner's receipt: pending Hello, everyone, and welcome to the latest giveaway. This will be another one of my "pick your prize" contests, so you can hopefully win something you'll like. To enter: 1. Go view my giveaway goodies list. 2. Come back here to post an entry, stating which prize lot you would prefer. 3. State why you chose what you did. NOTE: That last bit is important. To qualify, you have to not only pick a prize, but also say WHY you picked it. Just a few words will do. Alternately, you could enter on someone else's behalf. Just name them. In that case, you are not required to pick a prize or say why. Your designated proxy will get to pick their choice later, if your entry wins for them. Your prize choice need not be final. I do periodically add new prizes to the giveaway goodies list, so if you win the drawing, you'll be given a chance to change your mind later, if you see a new prize you like more. I just enjoy reading everyone's initial selections up front, since it gives me an idea of what folks like. Click the pic below to view the prize list. The drawing will be done via random number generator sometime on or after the date mentioned at the top of this post. The timing will depend on my schedule. You may consider the contest open for entries until such time as I have posted the final result of the drawing. Totally free: the contest is free of charge, open to everyone, with free worldwide shipping. The only further requirement is... If you win, please post a receipt in this thread after you get the prize, so we'll know you got it (that helps me keep track). Good luck! Something we call, "Rolly Poley Olie", when the cat or dog rolls on their back like this. Oh, so cute!
Entry post here, hope I'm in the right thread, the prize I choose is the Peace! 1922 silver Peace dollar (ANACS MS62) I'll post a token pic, this one is from Victory Sparkler Company from the 1920's and sued out of business in the 1930's, or something like that, check the link for the story! https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/F2/53/3/1544000/
Giveaway Lot #250907-24 The hurricane Helene item. I used to live in this area and some of my favorite places there were sadly damaged. This is a reminder of how fragile our world can be. I hope this gentleman has recovered and is doing well. Thanks for opportunity.
I'm still going to choose the 1922 Peace Dollar Dollar ANACS MS62 (Lot # 250907-13), as I have the past two months. I am still looking for my first slabbed silver coin, and next to Morgans, Peace dollars are awesome. Thank You!
Lucky Post #6 maybe? The United States: 1841 copper Braided Hair large cent is still available and I would still love to have it to start my 7070 - I have the album but it's empty
Lucky #7 entry. I would like to get the 5-dollar Canadian coin. The one with the Cougar. Giveaway Lot #250907-23. Why? I don't have one and beside US coins, I have a small collection of coins from Canada.
Entry post for @expat ! Today is Chesney’s fifth birthday and we came down to the Twin Cities to do some shopping tomorrow. Chesney loves road trips and hotel stays. Poppa bought her a guitar for her birthday.
Happy Birthday Chesney! My dog (6 Yrs. old) hates car rides (very nervous). Mostly because it means a trip to the doctors. Hotel stays? That wouldn't work out either for Us. He likes to steal things from Us knowing he'll get a treat in exchange for whatever he has in his mouth.
Entry Post I'm always intrigued by these old silver coins. 305 years ago someone hand struck this cob and sent it on it's journey... Spain: 1721-S J silver real of Philip V, Seville mint
Technically that one's a milled piece and not a cob, but yes, it's from that same era when a lot of cobs were struck.
Enter me please for the 1967 Canada Set. I keep trying for this set. I really like the 1967 designs for the Goose Dollar and Wolf half. Thanks for the contest!
If that Canadian silver ounce with the leopard is still available, I would like to cast my lot in again for that one. I like it because it's big, it's silver, and it has a cat. Thank you, sir!
@Eric Babula and @BuffaloHunter donated some new goodies for the prize gallery, but I haven't yet photographed them or added them to the list. Maybe I'll get that done by the end of the month.
I'm in for lot # 260119-04, the ancient ring money and the arrowhead money. I find it fascinating the history of commerce and barter. This will fit right into the hoard as the earliest examples of money. Thanks again @lordmarcovan.
1. Go view my giveaway goodies list. 2. Come back here to post an entry, stating which prize lot you would prefer. 3. State why you chose what you did. The 1474-1504 AD billon blanca coin of Ferdinand & Isabella, the Catholic Monarchs of Spain, who financed his expeditions to the New World in the 1490s and early 1500s. is a part of history I would love to show my kids. I have other Columbus coins (though not the 1992 clad either). Hopefully my kids will get an inkling of how coins show history. At one time I showed the Cub Scouts I was associated with (kids were in cub scouts) about coins. Of course my kids are way grown now but hopefully someone will like to see how coins show history.
