I have these 3, and that's going to be it, as the $50s will be forever out of reach. Feel free to post your Pan Pac commemoratives and memorabilia from that event!
Here's my short set, never heard it called that but it makes sense since I'll never be able to buy the big daddy! Plus I picked up the pendant but that's only because it on the bay for a great price, so I jumped on it!
your 2 1/2 is really nice, mine is a details ex jewelry but you have a very nice clean set. I have all the 1905/6 and the President mini gold too but the 2 1/2 was my toughest to find. Excuse pics
You know, if I start to lose my marbles, and my wife and kids don't notice in time, and I make the demented decision to invest our retirement nest egg in coins... those Pan-Pac half unions would be really high on the list. Otherwise, yeah, probably not in scope for me, either.
I have the $2.50 Pan-Pac in MS 60 but I do not have a serviceable picture of it. When I sold off my set of classic commemoratives I kept the Pan-Pac short set and a commemorative type set of the Isabella quarter, Lafayette dollar, and the Hawaiian half. I also have two Hudson halves that belong to my wife. She is from Hudson and her mom picked them up in 1935. MS-64
Wish I'd never sold this Hawaiian but the $5100 he gave me it had to go! Expands the short set I should had gone your route better quality short set!
That's a really nice set. I especially like the Dollar. Just save up for a couple of years, you can get a $50
I probably should have included grades, the half is MS63, the dollar MS65, and the quarter eagle is MS64 CAC.
The Panama-Pacific Commission issued a set lit that. It came in a little case for three coins. Heritage had a couple of sets available at a Summer FUN seven or eight years ago ago. The best one had a gorgeous gold dollar and nice quater eagle. The half dollar had toned and had been cleaned with an eraser. Needles to say it was a “details” coin.
You own just about every cool thing there is... do you happen to own anything cool here you'd like to show off? You are a Megalodon in this small pond....
