    Nice! Augustus issued a staggering variety of types, many of them interesting for the political message they were meant to convey. As a coin collector himself, I'm sure Augustus would appreciate the premium his coins now command, even if I don't... I often wish they were cheaper so I could actually buy them!

    Reading between the lines, it sounds as if you think Octavian was a smirking bloodthirsty twerp (just guessing here).

    I'd be curious to know more about your apparently negative disposition toward him.

    Does your opinion change any after he became Augustus?

    I really like this Quinarius. Lots of bankers marks... nice. Lots of transactions, lots of trading hands. Almost looks like they did not trust Augustus' coin!
