Entry post. I am extremely patient waiting for the Greek lion. Here is my contribution to this contest, the 5 good emperors sub-set
I'll jump in this month for the Irish & British halfpennies (1694 & 1855). Though they are both nice it is the Irish halfpenny that interests me, simply because it stood out to me as I looked through the list.
I really appreciate that @Eric Babula! That first slabbed MS coin has been a wish for ages. Thank you sir!
I would like to enter for lot #250907-24, the Hurricane Helene salvaged ASE. The story behind it shows the beauty that humanity has the potential for, even if we don't always live up to it. Thanks again for these contests and best of luck to everyone!
@ElishaCollectsForever - you may also post an entry on your own behalf. Double your chances. Don't forget to state your prize selection and why you chose what you did.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe I already made an entry post. I gave the lot number, coin, and my reason for wanting the coin in post #13. Thanks for letting me know, though!
Giveaway Lot #250906-07 (LOT: 3 coins) 1474-1992 Spain & USA: trio of Christopher Columbus-related coins Hopefully to get my kids more interested in my coin collection. Plus the circa 1474-1504 AD billon blanca coin of Ferdinand & Isabella ... would be my first Isabella of any type (ie, my favorite the $3 gold).
I'm hoping for Giveaway Lot #260203-01. As posted last month on the collectors forum, I have an unholy amount of copper to get rid of myself and not a single red cent or off center anywhere!
I will try for the Crusader States: ca. 1163-1201 AD silver "helmet" denier of Bohemond III of Antioch, again. Rob, I hope you know by now my reasons for picking this coin.
I think I'm feeling a little medieval, so let me pick that coin if I Crusader States: ca. 1163-1201 AD silver "helmet" denier of Bohemond III of Antioch as I don't have one of these and I think with the couple of other silver medieval coins I have, they would look good together!
I would like to enter for the Canadian One Ounce Silver with the Leopard on the reverse. I like it because it is silver and it has a big cat on the reverse. Thank you, sir!
Please can I enter for the leper colony token? I would like it just because I've wanted one for ages. Who wouldn't? I also like the pentagonal Yemeni coin with it, I've nothing from Yemen and it's a cool shape.
I'd like to enter for the white porcelain medal again. Doesn't really "match" anything in my collection, but it's a cool piece and in coin collecting you don't need to have everything fit in a set, right? Thanks for the giveaway @lordmarcovan!
Hello, and welcome to April. It is time for our drawing. Our lucky number was #5. And Post #5 was by... @Kentucky ! COINgratulations, @Kentucky ! You have won the following lot (unless you opt to change your prize choice). I shall message you for your shipping address. Please be sure to post a receipt in this thread later, after you get the prize. Thanks! Giveaway Lot #260122-02 (Lot: 8 coins) United States: Eight different silver Mercury dimes (1920-1939) Numista-51. This is an eight-piece lot of Mercury dimes, absent the more common 1940s dates you usually find in such assortments. The dates here are: 1920, 1923, 1926, 1926-D, 1927, 1936, 1937-S, and 1939. The 1926-D is a better date and the 1936 is higher grade; I'd say AU. Provenance: I picked most of these from silver lots at WNC Coins in North Carolina.
