    Hi!

I picked up this 1863 Our little monitor civil war token. I believe it's Fuid Patriotic die 240 paired with patriotic die 337. The issue is the missing "C" in C.D.H. You can see the period after where the C should be and with a 10X loupe you can see what I think is a faint C. It doesn't look like wear the coin is in good shape otherwise and the D and H are sharp. Anyone have an explanation.

I can see a shadow C and a clear stop right after where it should be. Not sure what the reason is but it could be a defective die.

Looks like a C to me. Do you have any links to the dies? I looked earlier but I am having a hard time linking to a good reference. I have a Monitor around here somewhere.

H-G 1128 240/337 That's from G & M Fuld patriotic civil war token :D (one of the few books I do have for old copper lol)
As for the C.. I can see the dot and what appears to be a shadow of the c.. i'm almost thinking it looks like a greese filled die type error... 20260330_235809.jpg
