Brasil 2001 1 Centavo - Freestanding Interior Internal Die Break?

    I am not to sure on this kind of error – My first thoughts were Die Chip. Would appriciate more input from the experts. Thanks Ed

    It looks like an interior die break, or cud times two. I think I see three die cracks going to the rim. One from the area in question one going thru Cabral and two cracks coming from the cud in his beard. Not sure if it would qualify as a "retained cud" though.

    When it is not connected to a die crack, it is called a freestanding interior die breaks. Very interesting and I only thought they were Die Chips. So much to learn.
