Hello! This is my first post on this forum, I just discovered this page and hopefully can get some insight about several notes in my collection. Ive had this 5 Lire note for some time. I purchased it in a large collection of Allied notes and noticed right away that it is missing its green printing on the face. Ive also taken a picture of my star replacement 5 Lire not for comparison. Anyone else ever seen one missing the green printing before? The beard.
The note looks pretty beat up !....LOL i only have a few of these but looks like the color may have faded away depending on the elements it was exposed to just my two cents !
I disagree. I have seen at least one other similar 5 lire note and there was no question it was an error. I will ask at the upcoming MPCFest.
Since the note is in such bad condition unless there was a way to determine By serial number that there was a definitive error on this note, i would have to stand by my original analysis.
A lot of these are a result of being washed...I've seen many, in uniform buys, over the years or as a result of being displayed for decades.

Based on the detailed pic,s still staying with "Faded" not an error you can see Something was once there especially on the corner pic !
