Hello all. We all know what wishy washy means. This is part 2. Basically, coins that fit these words.....
    feeble
    ineffectual
    weak
    vapid
    milk-and-water
    effete
    half-hearted
    spiritless
    irresolute
    indecisive
    pathetic
    weak-kneed
    insipid
    pallid
    wan
    sickly
    Post yours as well.

    This might be called a multi-level wishy-Washy.

This Hard Times Token, Low 51, was the first for this design.

The dies for this piece were cut by Edward Hulseman. Another die sinker liked it so much that he made a copy which was not as well done. The most obvious difference is the "fat donkey." It took me a long time to find this example, which is rated as an R-3. If it really is an R-3, it's a very tough R-3. I think that it is scarcer, especially in nice condition.

And here is the "wishy-washy piece it replaced.

Here's a medal that was crusted beyond recognition, I got the firehouse side done and moved onward to find out it's an Italian church medal of some kind. It was a disappointment but only cause it was in Italian and it took too long to uncover!
