I love these because I would probably buy it and want to know what you see. The denticles are really crappy.

First off, it ain't in a TPG holder. That signals Felix Unger to me.....

Are we still guessing? Looks "funky" to me. Like pot metal or some cast copy. I'm thinking from an eastern country. :brb:o_O

It has been cleaned and I see clashing on the right side of the obverse next to the star at 3:30k or so.

Other than that I don’t know these dollars well enough to call it a fake. On pins and needles for your take…Spark

That's what I saw. The denticles look pretty funky. Although when I look at genuine examples the denticles look weird also.

Die-struck counterfeit? It has the diagnostic "broken R" in LIBERTY.

It's a fake, but a more deceptive one than the older Chinese counterfeits.

Other than that there is a 99% chance that it's a counterfeit, there's not thing wrong at all.

If it's real it's been cleaned to death in a way that is rather unusual.

    1. The color
    2. The price - the coin is at least a VF; a genuine VF-20 bids at $2200 for the 7x6 stars variety
    3. The eagle's mouth shouldn't be connected to the star
    4. It's counterfeit
    5. EVERYTHING.

I have one of these fakes that I bought for educational purposes from Temu before they started potting "copy" on them. I think I paid $9 for it. I use it for a card guard when playing poker.

That one would probably get under the radar, @Jersey magic man, because the word, “LIBERTY” is conspicuously missing from the obverse.
