Yes, the hazy stuff around the eagle is hairlines. The reverse is much worse than the obverse. I was trying my best to get the lighting so that the hairlines could be seen without putting too much glare on the holder.
I think there are too many hairlines for it to ever sneak into a problem-free holder. But who knows? Interesting... I guess I did okay then. But yours is problem-free.
That was my point, there is a choice a flashy UNC details or an AU CAC in PCGS plastic. That is what should be weighed when buying problem coins, what does the problem free $$$$ equivalent look like.
I was going to say Unc but cleaning, but since it was already posted. Anyway the reverse looks like there was cleaning, and the obverse has some scratches. For $450. buck I guess it is a good price. Don't know much about what is it worth. But other than that the coin looks pretty nice with all the details.
