Anyone else noticed decent deals on collectible coins are evaporating?

I used to graze on great midweek deals on sleeper Morgans during midweek auctions online when everyone else was working or sleeping. That's gone. I'm not talking about junk stuff, I'm talking about collector grade coins. Coinflation seems to be upon on us!

I'm still finding deals, but they do seem to be harder to find at the moment.

Absolutely. I collect a narrow niche of Pre-1800 Sicilian silver coins and it's become almost impossible to cherry pick good coins on eBay like it used to be. Now even the junk stuff is going for top dollar.

Before I'd sometimes find eBay sellers who didn't know what they had and I got some excellent deals. I still look but no luck.

I can still find good buys but they are getting harder to find.

It's almost like no one is working while they are at work! :p:D

I don't trust my local guy farther than I can throw an elephant! Private message me and I'll tell you why. :p:D

The coin market is definitely hot right now. With the surge in precious metals, even low purity silver world coins are much more than a couple years ago. I was astonished to see a US war nickel currently melts over $4!

I occasionally get a good deal on coins, but it's much less frequent than it used to be and is normally only when I bundle 2-4 together from the same source.
