My coin purchases have slowed way down in the past couple years. I do see an interesting piece here and there and decided to pick this one up so I can still claim I am a coin collector. The gold toning is very rich on this one. The doubling is VERY minor on these. Out of the 5 graded by NGC, I now have 2 of them.
New arrival fresh from the mailbox. This piece killed two birds with one stone. My want list included a coin pedigreed to the Binion Collection and a CAC “bean” slab. Voila!
I went to a local show just outside Lansing today. In between waiting for some doobers to finish up with their sitting down at tables and spreading papers all over the dealers cases so nobody can see what's in them, i managed to spot this. My wallet is a little lighter but I brought it home with me.
There's a little greenish tint in the pics that I can't see in hand, i think it's going to get an acetone rinse before I put it in an airtite.
