Going through my coins, I ran into this one...1877 Un Centavo Venezuela. In checking to see if it was silver, I found out something interesting...if you know, keep quiet a little while to let others guess.
Yup, when I looked it up to see if it were silver, it said it was the first foreign coin struck by a US mint.
Now I'm wondering who designed it. None of the sources I'm finding say anything about it. William Barber perhaps? In looking up foreign coins struck by the US mint, I learned that the US struck 10 million Siam (Thailand) 1 satang for 1918 in addition to 4 million struck in by the Royal Siamese Mint. These were the first coins struck by the US mint with a hole in the center. Another 10 million were struck in 1919. (https://en.numista.com/6582) It caught my eye because I have one from 1935.
