If you already know what you have, cool! As for the rest of us, we would need clearer pictues. I don't believe any one here, can give you a price with out a little more clarity. I am not seeing the die markers. to say yes or no. Here is a few clear pics for you! Your obv and rev. should match this one completely.
The photos are a little too rough for us to tell. Can you just put a 10x loupe in front of your camera phone and snap a few shots directly? You'd be surprised how good those photos come out.
Is it really easier to photograph a coin while holding it in your hand than it is by lying it on a flat surface? BTW...clean your fingernails next time.
Lets keep this on a coin level. By the way,I am a carpenter, living at the base of the Rockies, I have never tried taking a pic while holding the coin, But, IF I did you wouldn't want to see how I have to keep my Nails.
I'm just being sarcastic. But, for the life of me, I don't understand why anyone would even WANT to photograph anything (a ring notwithstanding, perhaps) while trying to hold it in one's hand. For coins, I lie them on a table top generally on a background of neutral color. This allows me to use care focusing. I also use a pair of small boxes (ammo boxes work great for this) upon which to rest my phone. This reduces camera/phone shake which makes for clearer images. But that's just me. I don't really want anyone looking at the ridges in my fingers.
FS-1801 and DDR-002 are two different varieties, but may I ask where you found records of such transactions, particularly regarding the former? It is certainly not FS-1801 and is the one he's claiming (in multiple threads). Any promise it may have would be the remote possibility of being a lesser variety.
Well the quote option didn't go as planned either on the cell phone. BooksB4Coins please look inside the quote box to get reply. Sorry
sorry, but that is not the coin you think it is. The doubling on the 1982-ddr-001 is visible to the naked eye and would be obvious in the photo of the full reverse. Richard
Do you know how many are estimated to be known today? I was under the impression (as of a few years ago) that there is just a handful at most, but am unsure if things have changed.
To the best of my knowledge, and i have tried to keep track of this, there are still only three known
Thank you kindly. I did a little searching yesterday and was only able to find photos of a few, and appreciate the confirmation of my suspicions. Please stop. It's a special coin and I'd love to congratulate you on having one, but the unfortunate fact is you don't.
Mickey If you are so darned sure it is the coin you think it is then send it into PCGS or NCG and have it attributed. If it is real it is worth upwards of $5000 and well worth the cost. Unfortunately I can tell you that you will be wasting your money. Richard
