OK, I dug my last box out of the trash and found a plain as day CWI at the top of the stamp.

gatzdon: Care to share anything else you know about them? I was under the impression that Loomis Fargo sorted, rolled, and boxed all of the coins I was searching. Guess not.

Went through 10 rolls of nickels. Found 10 in the 40's no war nickels, 1 in the 50's, 18 between 1960-64, a dateless buffalo and as a bonus a 1999 S AND a 2002 S, but strangely enough no keel boat, bison, ocean view or shaking hands, wierd.

    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

Not bad, those are some good finds. It's wierd that where I live, westward nickel's are as common as they can be.

I got 2 CWI boxes of pennies recently, one dated JUN 27 2007, and the other JUL 24 2007. Both came from CWI #07, and both had uncirculated 2007 cents. Is there any significance to these numbers, or are they only importaint when an error is found from a certain location? ie Godless Wachingtons from CWI #103. Thanks for sharing this with us!

My bank just switched from Brinks to CWI. I'm interested in seeing if CWI is just as good as Brinks was when it comes to keepers. My last box(first box of the year since I took a break from rollsearching) of halves has this stamp:
    CWI #61
    Nov 29 2006
    Inspected by #3042

It contained 4 40% halves and 1 96 clad proof. So I guess I'm off to a decent start with the CWI boxes.
I guess my CWI branch doesn't go through very many halves because of the Nov 29 stamp. I will have to see what my next box says. I'll get it in 2 weeks.

    Searched 10$ in Cents:

    1942
    1942S
    1953Dx3
    1944D
    1937

And a Queen Elizabeth II 1965 Canadian cent.

Only need two slots now to fill out my modern Lincoln Memorial Cents......

I finally went to the bank and had them order 1000 dollars in halves. Hopefully I get some good beginners luck.

Could this thread be made a sticky post so it stays at the top of the page?

Why ? It's posted to every single day so it isn't like it's buried on the back pages.

:high5:I'm getting a box of halves this weekend, hope I have luck. A cool thing happened today. I put a dollar in the Pepsi machine and in my change back I got a 1961D quarter. Very happy, it looks good for coming out of circulation.

    Silver! Nice!
I got 5 rolls of nickels yesterday. Found a 1941. Not much, but better than nothing.

To those that asked, the only significance of CWI is that they roll so many coins that the numbers on the box are meaningless to us unless there is a 60,000 coin silver streak. Otherwise, one box will not be indicative of what's in the next.

On a lighter night, got back from vegas this weekend. Only found a 2005D 50¢ (already down to an AU), a 1961D 1¢ in AU, and about a couple dozen pre-1960 nickels. Not much to brag about.

I found a bunch of slots that still dealt in physical half dollar coins. I went through about a $100 (didn't gamble, just kept cashing out) and all I found was the 2005D. I was listening to everyone else that was winning/cashing out and did not hear a single silver coin drop, so I just moved on and enjoyed the rest of the weekend without worrying about how much silver I was missing.
