Has anyone seen this error on the "in god we trust" on the Great Basin quarter. It looks like doubling especially on the "in" and "god" and I was unable to find any reference to this error on the internet. Any information would be helpful.

    Thanks, g.r. Image37.jpg

Thank you for the comment as I am new to the site, as well as a late comer to coin hunting, after 63+ years. Any advice or information is appreciated and I thank anyone ahead of time for any replies.

    Thanks, g.r.

Gary, do you see all of those parallel striations pointing toward the rim? Those are indicative of die deterioration. So, I think what you are seeing is die deterioration doubling.

    Hi Chris,
Those are the best pictures I can get. They do radiate out but by the "d" and the "in" the doubling looks fairly clean. If it is die deterioration doubling what would be a good guess on the value of the coin over face. Thanks again, g.r.
