Anyone interested in seeing a 'Buck-five'? (Yeah, I know, I've posted these before.) "Found in a CoinStar" . . . . . That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Z
Ok, I'll change things up a little. Y'all are posting some great coins, I'll post some not so great, but realistic (except for the last one, lol) 1866 Shield Nickel with Rays 1937 D - 3 Legged Buffalo Ok, I know I said realistic, but I did add except for one. If you haven't figured it out, yet... this is the "not realistic one". This one is FAKE! I certainly wish it wasn't, lol.
Recently made a BU War nickel set. I think the Capitol holder cost was more than I paid for each coin individually!
That is fantastic! I love it! I have a set, but mine are worn very badly, like me. But, I collect circulated coins, and some of mine have really been "circulated", lol. But, I'm still thankful to have them. Thanks for posting yours, they are stunning!
Interesting Fun Fact about War Nickels: War nickels are one of the few U.S. coins that contain manganese, which was added so vending machines could detect them magnetically during WWII when nickel metal was needed for the war effort.
