Wrong or thin cent planchette?

    This 1976 cent only weighs 2.5g instead of the 3.1g. It's also a little thinner than a regular cent. There is damage on the back, but not enough for 19% of the overall weight reduction that it should weigh.

    Your Cent is rolled Thin Planchet with a Lamination.

    Here is an example from my collection - even lighter at 2.43g

    I hope so!
    I have seen these selling on Mint Error websites for $30.00 - $60.00 depending on the grade. Raw examples.. not that much. It has to be thinner in order for it to be more desirable to collectors.
