I see a strong NE doubling on this coin and I'm figuring it's not mechanical

I can't see anything in the photo, but between this small screen and my eyesight, it's not saying much.

Have you been to VAMworld yet?

I can't see anything either, but I'd really need a clearer image to be really sure.

I'm not seeing any doubling either. Clear close ups of the area(s) in question would certainly help.

This is a Philly strike, correct?

Well ,under magnification I can see guite a few 833's which all I guess was from minting process ( please can you elaberate on the use of the #833 by the mint) and also look like someone is trying to , (by the use of the #s 833 ) hide the micro O mintmark by stamping these #s over the o.

I have not a clue what you're talking about, to be honest. What's a "#833?"

    Wow!!, this is SuperDave right?
I apologize, but I'm surprised , you surely must have notice these digits on coins you have closely examined ,(right?) it seems to me from the coins I've found or encountered with these digits and the majority of the coins I've hoarded display these numerals I've concluded and this is an opinion coming from me a novice of four years , hence the quote, " Wow this is SuperDave right?

Could you explain better or do you have a link to a numismatic article about what you are talking about?

The first time I came about these digits was went I was convinced I was in possession a 1922. Early trial modified relief satin finish proof peace dollar matte finish which has what looks like a carbon spot but under 30x mag I distinguished it was the digits 833 within what looks like a carbon spot. After hours of examination I noticed that every blemish that was on the coin was stamped w/ #s 833. The mint was wise to the coin having these blemishes , if this seems off the wall ,I have the coins to refer to that I would be delighted to show any doubting Thomas' there may out there

I am soooo confused here. Are you saying you've found evidence that the Mint stamped every defect/blemish of a coin (the Peace dollar you spoke of)? If you were using a 30x mag, how small was the punch being used?

I'm honestly and genuinely curious. I've never heard of this and would love to see some examples!
