To be honest, I forgot I had this coin until I was looking through my photo archive. Anyway, guess the assigned grade ( it is straight graded). Comments welcome as always.

I’m a conservative grader so I’m at AU-55 on this coin. I see some wear on Liberty’s left breast and flight wear on her left knee. I think the hair over her is is worn enough, along with her knee and breast to be a 55 and not a 58. Nice looking coin though.
I still can't really judge from static photos what's wear and what's just contact points. I'm inclined to say this one's MS, and I'd guess 62 based on marks in the fields and that gash on Liberty's left arm - but I still don't have a lot of experience splitting the MS grades, at the low or the high end. I'd be surprised by anything below 55 or above 64.
I thought the same thing, almost said 62 as a slider, there was something else that caught my eye and changed my guess.
Here's the grade (drumroll!): I realize it's hard to grade AU to lower MS coins from static photos, I have a lot of trouble with that. I think the hit on the arm and other marks in the fields were the main determinant here, and maybe luster muted by the toning. Think if I dipped it, it might go up a grade? (kidding!) This one was pretty challenging and thanks for the insightful comments and guesses, my friends.
Again I'm also not too good at this... But. It looks like a dirty unc. Maybe a ms-61 or 62? Perhaps you can ask to have it "conserved" and if some of the dirt is cleaned up and it's blotchy luster helped, it could be nice. Looks very original tho. Nice early piece. Hey I did that before looking or even knowing that an answer was posted. I might be interested if it's for sale?
