Thanks chris. To be honest with you, nothing. But I don't see any here either. http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/37727
I don't see it either on the PCGS specimen, but note that it does state "Minor Variety". That happens to be one of my pet peeves about the so-called specialists who attribute doubled dies on their personal websites. At 50x or more and the right price, you can get almost anything attributed. Chris
The "R" in liberty is as good as you will get. The photo is bad for showing the DDO . Minor it is , and the value is less than the certifying I think.
That appears to be a duplicate page for FS-101: http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/37730 FS-101 should probably be called MPD rather than DDO, because the primary pickup is a severely mispunched date, whose artifacts are visible on the fullsize image of the PCGS coin, matching those noted at Variety Vista: http://varietyvista.com/01a LC Doubled Dies Vol 1/1934PDDO004.htm
I saw the error designated in the red book while going through a pile of wheat pennies and wording/date on this penny was noticeably thicker than other examples. I'm new to all of this and thought i'd get someone who knew more to check it out so thank y'all for the help. I have someone who can check it out in person but don't want to waste their time if possible. Unfortunately, an iPhone and loupe is as sophisticated as my picture taking gets. Hopefully good enough for ya'll to give a "maybe" or "definitely not".
There appears to be doubling at the W in WE and the S and T in TRUST. But that's no doubt pariedolia doubling.
