I realize he wasn't directly insulting me but saying something is pathetic when I don't know what i have, makes them feel kinda pathetic. It doesn't matter I'm just trying to get him too see he could approach it without making me feel stupid lol it doesn't make me learn better

The bullet manufacturers and others will gladly buy all they can melt when that day comes. They did not long ago until melting and exporting was prohibited. The scrap yards are just a middle man.

Will it come? Canada melted its copper pennies 4 years ago.

Their last Canadian copper pennies were 96 I believe. They stuck with it about 15 years longer than the United States and recalled them much sooner.

So the question is if they will be recalled in the United States, ever?

If metal backed money is restored in this nation, they'll definitely have more value in commerce than zinkers. Several states, most of which filed their 10th Amendment Sovereignty Resolutions with the federal government, have legislatures working to do just that. The new president has discussed it often enough to make one wonder if Dr. Paul finally got through to somebody.

Make your own decisions, they just cost a penny and keeping them has zero risk.

You didn't understand a word of what I wrote, I don't think, since you managed to hear me taking a swipe at the quality of TPG grading as a personal insult. Have no fear, I won't darken your life with any further assistance. My life is complicated enough without trying to help people who are working to misunderstand me. You won't miss me; there's plenty of other knowledgeable folks here.

I would hate to see you give up on lincolns. If you are looking for a monetary return I would caution you on any coin regardless of denomination or metal content. pennies have an amazing return if you look at its face value vs what it's worth, eg 1 c penny selling for 1 - 5 dollars. Heck of increase, but yeah not gonna make you rich. Lincolns are a great way to learn about grades, errors, RPMS, DDO, etc... which would pay dividends in knowledge later.

look I'm not working to misunderstand you, it just happened and I'm sorry for that. Let's just forget this happened, if that's not too much to ask. If not at least I tried to let you know I was wrong

Coin collecting is a fascinating hobby that takes a lifetime to learn and understanding. No one can figure it out in a day, and you are not going to become rich on your first coin.

A topic for a different thread. 90% silver, current silver value $6.43.
They were made in Philadelphia and Denver, there is an "accented hair" variety
(on proofs?) that carries a premium.
