Nothing special or spectacular, just adding to my Bibical Times coins. Antonius Felix under Claudius, 52-60 A.D., AE Prutah.
One of my more recent purchases is this Gallienus antoninianus, which features a very unusual and notable bust type. Taken in conjunction with the scarce dated reverse legend (P M TR P VII COS) and type, this coin seems to be unpublished and maybe even unique. GALLIENUS. Joint reign, AD 253-260 BI Antoninianus (21.4mm, 2.46g, 6h) Struck AD 259. Mediolanum mint Obverse: IMP GALLIENVS P AVG, radiate and draped bust of Gallienus right Reverse: P M TR P VII COS, emperor seated left on curule chair, holding globe and scepter References: RIC V.1 311 var. (bust type); RCV 10320 var. (obv. leg.); ERIC II – . Good strike. Some deposits. A very rare and apparently unpublished bust variant featuring unusually prominent and pronounced drapery across both shoulders. This coin is also notable for being a dated issue, uncommon for the period.
