    Here it is my one and only Hobo Nickel, looks to be dated 1930 but honestly I may never know. I bought it a long time ago, so long ago I don't even know where I bought it from and I didn't even know it was a genuine old school Hobo until someone noticed it and pointed it out to me! If you have one, post a pic, it don't even have to be old, post a modern if you want! :D Too bad it's not worth big money, but that's okay, comments anyone? lol.gif

    I sold mine because I didn't like how dark it was, but it was a very cool modern Hobo.

    Really nice example! Was it carved by hand or machine?

    I don't know the age of this, and it kinda looks like Willy Nelson.

    I see a lot of those type on flea bay. I did buy one and I see a lot with trains on them, but I just can't bring my self to buy them.

    This one is a hobo in a sense. This was one stuck with dies on a 43S silver war nickel.

    Yeah I was surprised to see Heritage selling Hobo's both genuine old and modern for sale. Unfortunately on mine the date is gone so it'd probably be hard to sell but that's okay as it's grown on me and is now part of the family, in my collection. :)

    I guess the older ones from the Depression era are usually a bit cruder?

    Here is a modern hobo carving I had.

    @dwhiz- how much did it cost to commission a custom hobo nickel, if you don't mind my asking?

    @lordmarcovan
    Back then I paid $35.00 that was his going rate at the time.
    I haven seen him around lately.
