I was in town this morning and decided to swing by the bank for some coin rolls to go through - nickels, dimes, and quarters, hopefully to find some of the new 2026 coins. Well, I didn't find any of those but there were some other interesting finds.

The nickels were the most fun. I found some early 1950s, and one roll was entirely 1981-D, all in mint or close to mint condition with great luster.

The best finds were a worn 1940 nickel, and a beautiful mint-condition 1964 that looked like it had come straight off the press!

@The Meat man It is fun. I think nickels are the best for CRH. I have found them as far back as 1891. I found a 1903 this week.

I had a pile of plain 1940 and 1941 that I had for 20+ years.
Without being in high grade there's no market for them no matter what the book price is, and I just set them free into circulation.
The S's I prob kept and the D's if they were XF or better.
