1620. I have no idea how to grade this. Wondering if I should send off to grade.

    Thanks,

I'll go with VG. I would just put it in a nice holder. Couldn't find any graded. Expensive coin if I may say so. Might not worth it coming back in details grade. it is very possible.

I concur with VG. Catalogs $200 in VG (assuming I looked up the correct variety), so it might be worth certification even if it did come back with a "details" grade.

Not my thing but VG looks right to me.

With so much detail extant I would grade at Fine. You might be pleasantly surprised at what a TPG rates it but be warned that there is a high probability that in some graders opinion, it will be marred with a details grade of "cleaned". This wouldn't concern me but concerns many.

I could also see that outcome. A Fine grade, perhaps with a "cleaned" designation- or maybe not. It's tough to predict a TPG's opinion sometimes.

I thought I was being harsh at Fine. The little pit looks like a fan flaw. It is detailed so I think better than VG. I'll go with Fine.

To me, it's a strong VF. Lots of meat left on that coin. I think the color and damaged surfaces are throwing people off. Give it a nice silver-grey look and I think you'd have people guessing VF/XF.

Probably not worth getting graded as it's absolutely coming back Environmental Damage. It's probably a $50-$100 coin raw.

I'm in at fine. German states small denominations are my jam!

It's an easy VF in my opinion.

VF details environmental damage. A lot of detail remaining but surfaces are rough.

Was thinking the same thing: VG10 outside shot at F12.
