Thought about it for a couple of minutes. Thinking wrong, its PR66.

 

That ole girl looks like she had a real nice complexion before she got around a bit. Considering the amount of definition she retains in her hair, I would think she didn't wander the streets for too many years but from the bumps, bruises, and cuts she suffered it looks as if she was ridden hard while wandering alone.

I could be wrong but again I know how tricky you are Heavy.....

 

Although not part of the op's question, I can not agree with the VAM 24 id. Date positioning is wrong among other things. Hard to tell for sure from the pictures but I would venture to say it is either a VAM 6 or 23.
However, Paddy's grade may be closer than mine. I sometimes have difficulty balancing the remaining feature definition versus degree of surface contact to arrive at the same grade as the TPG's

 

Vam WILL be revealed with grade, 7pm eastern time. Unless i drink a few too many Millers and pass out.

 

Well I took a shot at it.....I'm still decompressing from a week on the road working 12 to 20 hours days. Doing a presentation for new business . I am seeing doubling and that's what I based my call.

 

I'll throw in VAM-11 as others have already mentioned VAMs 6, 23 and 24. Grade = XF45?

oh, excuse me guys, I see clearly that others are seeing double on the reverse of this coin, but I don't get it. Lighting can be your friend or enemy at times. In this case, I lean more towards an enemy. I believe the lighting is creating an illusion of doubling on the reverse so I look to more rudimentary means of identification beginning with date placement. Both the VAM 11 and 24 have what is called a normal date placement, which is approx 2.5 denticle spaces from bustpoint. The op's coin above shows a near date placement of 2.0 denticles spaces from bustpoint and appears to be set low. I cannot see any doubling on date or any other listable features hence my deduction of the aforementioned VAMS 6 or 23.

I'm going based on the assumption that there's no perspective distortion in the images, and since they're not square to the camera I really shouldn't be doing so, but it's all I have.

Looks to be Near Date and low, C3 reverse. VAM-6 date location isn't "Near" enough for this one so 6 is eliminated. 23 might fit but none of the characteristic star doubling is visible in these images. Doesn't mean it isn't there.

In other words, there isn't enough data here (or at VAMworld, for that matter) for anything like accurate attribution.

The fields seem like they could be flashier than the photography shows; it might have been a PL/DMPL coin to start with and may well show reflectivity right now. With the amount of chatter, despite slightly better technical merit I'm not over EF40 for it.

 

Well for sure there's a double olive.
