    Great thread, beautifull coins! I love animals on coins too, my most prolific is the "eagle".
    Here are some unusual ones I have.

    IT says P. Apple / Phila. Philip Apple was a Philadelphia tinsmith in the early 1800s Phila is an abbreviation for Philadelphia. That and Philada was commonly used on counterstamps in those days.
