I am and picked up a couple of items.
One was not labeled right!

You can guess that I wanted the second item, more about it later. The top item was a spur of the moment bid because I lost on one I wanted.

I'm watching and bidding and trying to do several other things at the same time. Usually that doesn't end well

 

I should learn Italian. I can understand some of the numbers. This lot started at 40E and hammered for 1150E. There were 48 bids to get there. The face of the auction caller was interesting! This goes to the point that auction prices depend on two who want the same item.

I like it a lot... and almost joined in the bidding.

So far I've picked up just one inexpensive coin, purchased for the lowest opening price. My other targets went too high (and thankfully I didn't keep clicking "bid").

I am not a big struck RR bronze guy, but this one looked interesting, had a modest start price and was listed as Extremely Rare by NAC. I woke up and stopped clicking after half a dozen bids when the price approached the NAC price from the JD collection. There have been several big RR bronze collections that have put plenty of struck bronze on the market. Too bad the same does not seem to be true for cast bronze.

Both are interesting, rare, and Ugly. Yes that is a capital U.

 

I'm turning it off now before I do something stupid. I bid on 4 coins and won one-- just a little 40 EUR snack-- a @zumbly-stalking snack.

Uneven strike? Worn? Poor centering? Yep, yep, and yep. But desirable nonetheless. Now I've completed my micro-set of Apollonian Fires of the Nymphaeum (with bunny bashing stick) .

I considered bidding on this guy but decided to hold off and save my money for auctions later this month and it went unsold. It was identified as a Luceria "L" series quadrans but it in fact a "V" series quadrans from Apulia. A rare type, unfortunately heavily overcleaned.


You can see an example of the "L" series type here. The style is completely different.

 

Like TIF I bid on four coins in the current NN auction and only won one CILICIA Mopsus, Valerian Dated CY 323 (255/6) River god Pyramus, reclining left on bridge consisting of five arches, triumphal arch at each end. 14.43gm, 31mm, SNG BN 1998.

 

i was, but didn't buy anything. congrats to all you buyers. woo to us lookers.( i wouldn't say losers.)

 

One coin that caught my interest but was not interested in buying was this tiny 10mm, IONIA. Clazomenae. Britannicus (41-55). Ae. worn selling for a whopping 850 Euro, jee wiz that guy Britannicus coins sell for heaps.

Doing the Numismatik Naumann one. So far, getting outbid by bidders willing to pay an astonishing amount. It's good, I guess, that the market is so strong.

 

Picked up a group lot of some pretty nice Roman provincials.

 

Two pickups: a celebration of the sewers, and finally filled the Zeno hole in my collection with a tremissis. Neither are beauties but good enough to satisfy me. (Terrible Zeno gold is typically better then "great" Zeno bronze!)






I didn't bid on anything else, prices were too strong on stuff I was interested in. One I would have liked (just a Wow coin):
