I don't think I have any of those left now, so they're "obsolete".

A 16 that someone tried to add a D too. The D fell off when I was looking at it. We scoured the floor for about 20 minutes looking for it. Couldn't find it!

    Rob,

My first coin was also a Mercury dime that I pulled out of my pocket in 1962 and yes, I still have it. My friend John Martin was showing me his coin collection and he suggested I use a coin out of pocket change to start a collection.

In other news I hope to post soon but last night I had another fall and buggered my knees. My right knee cannot support my weight and it really hurts if I move it. We're off to Doc in a box for x-rays and a preliminary diagnosis. Why does this impact posting photos? Well my collection and primary computer are up one and a half flights of stairs and at the moment I cannot handle stairs. Lord knows how I will get to the car in the basement.

Good morning. It is Thursday the 19th.

Today we move on into the Roosevelt dimes; specifically the Roosevelt Dime Silver (1946-64).

Do not post any CLAD Roosevelt dimes today- that's tomorrow's type!

I do not presently have an example of this type in my collection. My only silver Roosies are in my metal detector finds album, and those are not imaged.

So I will reach way, way back to my circa 2001-2002-ish ancient PCGS Registry type set to find one.

I did all my images on a flatbed scanner back then, so these small, wretched pics are all I have.

It's nothing to gawk at, but I like the obverse toning and for $2 (at the time) it's definitely turned into a good purchase.

If anyone was wondering, there was also a straight 1 Blunt 9.

I believe that the pointed 9 came in mints sets with the Accented Hair Kennedy.

Good morning. It is Friday, February 20th.

Today we move on to the Roosevelt Dime Clad (1965-date).

Here's one I had with a missing obverse clad layer.

This is my Pretty "clad" of the satin finish variety (mintage of 895k) :D I'm also including the 1st "extra" coin NGC added to their 7070 competitive set. NGC adds the 1992-present "silver" dime as well.

I like this coin, but don't love it. I think I will upgrade it at some point.
